Ana Ivanovic and Adam Scott in love

ANA Ivanovic has always had close Australian ties and that may include a new man in the form of golfer Adam Scott.

Sources told the Sunday Herald Sun that Ivanovic and Scott hooked up after the men's final in Melbourne last week, where Scott was a guest of Rolex.

An Ivanovic management source confirmed the two know each other, but would not elaborate on a possible romance.

"Ana is friends with Adam Scott. They met through Rolex, for which they are both brand ambassadors," the management source said when asked about their relationship.

The word is they became more than friends while Ivanovic trained in Brisbane and met again while at the tennis in Melbourne.

Scott was recently linked to actor Kate Hudson.

The glamorous Ivanovic had a romance with Spanish player Fernando Verdasco, but exactly when they split is not clear.

While in Brisbane last month, Verdasco and Ana Ivanovic seemed to be very much together.

But that changed by the time the pair arrived at Melbourne Park for the Australian Open.

Ivanovic-Verdasco relationship ends

Ana Ivanovic and Fernando Verdasco had been dating since the 2008 US Open, but the word is out that their romantic relationship has ended.

According to a friend of Ana's, the tennis star broke up with her boyfriend earlier this month, during the tournament in Brisbane.

I have to say it was suspicious. Those statements of Ana and Fernando, that tennis comes first, plus, I don't remember seeing a picture of them together this year. Moreover, Ivanovic was training in Australia for some time already, and Verdasco was nowhere to be seen. Also, Ana lost in the quarterfinals of the Brisbane International, but she didn’t stay at the tournament to watch Fernando, who went all the way to the finals. Instead, Ivanovic flew to Melbourne right away.
